Ask your Wedding Florist-Part 1

You said Yes! Now the planning begins:

Once you have chosen your wedding and reception site you are ready to meet with your Florist. Our goal is to make suggestions for flowers related to your vision and the venues you have chosen.

These are important details of your wedding day and should be handled by a creative, detailed oriented , experienced florist.Your wedding day should not be training for the florist. There are schools for that.

Ask about their background. What training do they have. Do they keep current with today's trends with continuing education.

Ask about staffing for your wedding date- You are investing time and money into a project that 6- months to a year away from the time you will need their services. Some say low overhead equals more flowers- Not always the facts. Low over head savings should equal more staffing to insure the florist you choose has staff available for the services you will be requesting............to be continued.

Making your wedding special.

One way you can add those special touches to your wedding is by incorporating cherished heirlooms . This bride was given a bonnet when she was born --it was to be used on her wedding day. Her mother kept the verse along with the bonnet that became a handkerchief for her special day. We used it on her bouquet.

Great Day in the Neighborhood

Today there is a touch of fall in the air. I found a few pumpkins this weekend and placed them by the front door of the shop.

I am hoping this will help put everyone who passes in the mood.

Fall wedding are always so colorful - The tangerines, reds, yellows, burnt oranges, along with purples are always a show stopper. Of course if you add that beautiful lime green along with hot pink, then ladies you have customized your fall wedding to reflect your taste.

We are here to help you do just that. Our goal is to share you ideas that will refect your day, your personality, your vision and most of all your dream.

Choosing your Florist

One thing I find at the top of the list for a bride to look for when choosing her Florist is someone who will listen to her vision, her story.

All Florist should have design skills to do the job, but the "job "is not all that you think it is.

You have embarked on a very special jounery. One where knowing the right questions to ask will be more important than the colors and numbers of attendents you have chosen for your wedding.
